There's a theme lately of returning rivers to their natural form rather than trying to control them. When we try to control or remove them, they create disastrouous effects.

60s in Seuol, a polluted river was converted into a overpass highway. The highway proved to be problematic for congestion and pollution, reducing population and businesses in the area. Now, it's back to being a river (or a stream).
